YSL & GoogleGlass event in Warsaw (Poland)

Forget bloggers and YouTube tutorials, get your own make-up artist  in your own home !

Last week me and Bartosz have been invited  by YSL National Makeup Artist Dominika Szczygiel to the YSL and Google Glass event in Warsaw (Poland).The event took place at Douglas perfumery shop in Arkadia Shopping Centre.

The  polish model Paulina Krupinska  together with YSL make-up artist Pawel Bik prepared a presentation of professional make-up using Google glasses.

The idea is that filming the 45-minute makeover through the eyes of the artist will give  you the professional and prescriptive know-how, offering a unique tool to consumers, empowering them to replicate the same make-up look at home.

Within 20 minutes the tutorial will be emailed to the client with  a list of the YSL products that got you there with direct shopping.

What I think about the idea? It looks really good when I watched the whole presentation on the big screen. I believe it is quite hard  for make-up artists as they need to concentrate  not only on the make up but also to focus the camera on the products they use, as well as to look straight on the clients face, don't make sharp head movements and turns and be really  careful to do not talk too much about unnecessary subject, as everything is recorded. I believe there is a a hard work to do.

What about the  results? With the YSL advert saying "have your own make-up artist  in your own home" I could polemicize as having only my personal tutorial on the screen, even with the list of the products , does not necessary means, that I will do that great make-up at home, using my poor skills. I am not good with doing make-up for myself, and even if I watch some YouTube tutorials, they don't really help me to  achieve that great results. However I would love to try it, because practice makes perfect.

I think YSL as a professional and high standard brand done really good job.

Unfortunately I was unlucky to sign for appointment to try it, however I think maybe next time when I will come to Warsaw I will manage to get it.
