"Two young girls plying and having fun, disco fever story".
My another window project has been announced straight after we finished our first one. Obviously after my previous triumph I felt more comfortable and I knew what I can expect from myself and what to produce.
But the new window project means the new theme, new challenge. So we got : colorful, commercial window. When my tutor was completing my team, he mentioned in the front of the whole class, that my window is going to be obviously amazing ( after the first outstanding project). So I felt really proud as well as I could feel that responsibility on my shoulders. :)

From the very beginning my idea was to follow the most powerful fashion trend last summer - 70's. I thought how easy is to play with these bold bright colours and make something really good. Obviously there was a brain storm and lots of yes'es and no's as well as lots of random inspirations I was getting from Universe everyday. So after a week of deciding, discussing colours- the plan has been made.
We decided to make playful 70's theme, disco fever story of two girls having fun, possibly in the night club. One sitting on the swing (oh that was my dream to put the swing into my window from the very first beginning of the course). So idea was to make a dozens of circles, paint them and stick together, create colorful 70's style graphics.
Started from cutting perfect circles, measuring the sizes, another step was to choose spray paint and spray all in a different colours. Next step, using a hot gun, was to stick them together. When dry and solid I started process of hanging them in a different high and dept, to create a 3D view. Oh and also my perfect swing ! ( Made also for foam board and a rope).
The last step- the mannequins styling. I went through bags of wigs and I found two identical black, fringed bobs, what I knew there are going to match the style perfectly. The mannequins outfits had to match the circles colours, Going through Primark one day I got this idea of using transparent raincoats and put long colorful vests underneath. Additionally wedge sandals and bold net socks !
Styling mannequins was another pleasure! The last bit I brought form Primark was two pairs of round sunglasses, and that was just the cherry on top!
I was so happy and proud of the result , and I could not stop watching the window constantly.
My tutor and other students were absolutely impressed . I was happy and felt divinely.
Check my gallery below and soon more my merchandising projects.
